About Me.
I am a 42 year old husband, father, brother, friend and follower of Jesus.
I enjoy spending time with people.
Some of the things I like include: Photography, outdoors (shooting, fishing, hiking), people, too much food and beer (which you can read about here), language, travel and the Beavers!
The last 20+ years I have spent my time investing into the lives of others. I know that the word "Christian" brings with it a big plastic sack of baggage. But as it is, I have done my best to live as Jesus has asked me too. Caring for those that are forgotten, neglected and left. That has included 8 years of working in the colonias of Mexico. 5 years of working with teenagers and showing them how to care and serve others. 5 years helping a new church invest more in the city than itself. And the last 2 years I have been working at a school in one of the poorest neighborhoods in our city.
In this school I work with the kinder - 2nd grade students who can't read, while doing whatever I can to bring some joy, hope and peace to very difficult situations. Mostly I let the children know that they are not forgotten, that I believe in them and that they are amazing and are going to make amazing things happen in our world.
Year 3 begins now.
